THEE IS MY WOLF
Ian and Rachel are one of my favorite couples in the series, and I think it’s because I love what an unlikely pair the two are.
Like many love stories, the two found themselves just drawn to each other and couldn’t really explain why. However, as their relationship grew, Ian began to question if his past with the Mohawk (and ultimately who he was at heart) made him a suitable match for Rachel.
Rachel lovingly pointed out that Rollo is a wolf, but that Ian loves him because he has so many traits what make him worthy of being loved- loyalty, kindness, and dependability. She continued on to make Ian feel even more understood and loved by adding, “Thee is a wolf too, but thee is my wolf.” I’m fairly certain that from this point on, Ian felt safe and secure in their differences, and loved Rachel all the more for loving every part of him.
Thee Is My Wolf is a neutral light gray that symbolizes the lightness of Rachel and Ian’s love, while also mirroring the lightest parts of Rollo’s fur. I could never leave this sweet angel out.
