The Man Who Opened a Door🚪
The portrayal of Leonardo da Vinci in Ever After is absolutely impeccacle. He offers great insight and wisdom throughout the movie, with occasional moments of grounding common sense that are absolutely hysterical.
When it comes time to Danielle needing to make her way to the ball, no one sees how it can possibly be done as she’s locked behind a closed door. Leonardo comes to the rescue and decides to remove the door hinges to get her out. He then proclaims, “Yes! I shall go down in history as the man who opened a door!” Which is obviously a riot, as audiences now and even then knew him to be a world renowned artist.
“The Man Who Opened a Door” is truly Leonardo’s palette if there ever was one. It matches all of his scenes throughout the movie and even encompasses his “Mona Lisa”. It is a blend of warm foresty browns, a greyed out sage green, charcoal grey, and golden lichens that warm up and create several tertiary interactions.
