I think her relationship over the years was healed with her parents largely due to Rory’s relationship with them. Through Rory she was able to see how they could be supportive, caring, and loving in their own way.  Because of her past though, I don’t think she ever felt like she would be worthy of their love or praise again.  But with this moment, I could feel the flood of emotions she felt when her father basically said Rory is so great because she also had you.Â
“It Takes a Remarkable Person to Inspire All of This” is a deep royal blue. It looks more Sapphire-like on Yak Silk which I adore though!  I wanted to create a tonal that felt both Richard and Lorelai inspired. Deep Blue because of his influence on Rory with Yale, but bright and optimistic because of the foundation Lorelai provided for Rory living in Stars Hollow.Â
