A SCOTTISH NOISE
Arguably Jamie’s favorite method of communication- a throaty “mmmphm”. How could we not start here?!
Such sounds used to convey acceptance, disgruntledness, thought process, really the list goes on, was the norm for Scottish characters in the story but to Claire it was a distinctly foreign sound. A sound she of course grew to love, but one she at first felt excluded her from the 18th century Scots she found herself surrounded by even more.
This green was inspired by the 1943 Scottish highlands Claire found herself transported to. Visions of the gorgeously mucky golden greens came to mind for this colorway’s inspiration, and dear God I may have created my favorite green of all time. I love green, but earthy greens leave me weak in the knees.
Included in these photos are the skeins named by base. It’s hard for me to pick favorites but I find this color way particularly swoonworthy on the Shaniko Cashmere and Truffula Cashmere. Awooooogaa.
