Together Still, Just a Little Different 🪼💜

Moana’s relationship with her grandmother is my favorite to witness in the movies.  As a fellow grandma’s girl who clings to the memories their dynamic really hits home. 

I love how her grandma is so spiritual. I want everyone to believe in or not believe in what they want, but being a spiritual girlie it absolutely feeds my soul.  I’ve had what some would call weird experiences since I was a child, but they’ve shaped me into who I am.  So I wholeheartedly believe when our loved ones pass- we’re still together.  I also love how the Polynesian culture believes their loved ones can take on the body of the animals around us- it reminds me of my roots and Alebrijes. While it’s not a separate entity, the souls are no doubt shared and entertwined. 

That’s it for my ramblings though. 🥹🥹 I just love and appreciate Polynesian culture so much and how it ties into my own.
